Jennifer Obrochta is a trained artist working primarily in paint, collage, and jewelry design. She received her BA in Fine Art from SUNY Fredonia and MS in Visual Arts Education from Elmira College. She is a certified art teacher in both New York and Colorado, currently teaching in the Boulder Valley School District. She has also taught art in public schools (K-12) in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, privately in homes throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York City, to college students and community members through UC Berkeley’s Art Studio in Berkeley, CA, to the graduate student and post-doc community of Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, and to senior citizen groups and private ongoing lessons here in Boulder, CO.
Jennifer loves teaching art to all ages and has a genuine enthusiasm for connecting with students using the process of creative expression to explore technique, emotion, culture, and community.
